About Salt & Straw
Our first-ever East Coast shop is centered in Wynwood, the creative heart of Miami. Once an area of industrial blocks, manufacturing warehouses, and factories, the Wynwood District has since transformed into a gathering of artists and dreamers bringing their art to life in food, galleries, and music. The Wynwood Walls breathes new life into converted warehouses that have become soaring canvases for street and graffiti artists from around the world.
Located at 246 NW 25th St, Miami, FL 33127, Salt & Straw operates as an ice cream shop serving Miami in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under dessert shop, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
In Miami, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across Florida, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

Miami is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Miami is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Ice cream is easy to find, but memorable ice cream is not. My visit to Salt & Straw felt more like a fun flavor adventure than just a quick dessert stop. I tried the limited-edition Tacolate collaboration because I was curious how those flavors would work together. To my surprise, it was rich, creative, smooth, and really enjoyable. What stood out to me most was the creativity. Salt & Straw is not afraid to take risks with flavors, but they still make sure the ice cream tastes great. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience feel welcoming. My recommendation is to come with an open mind and try something outside your usual comfort zone. You might leave with a new favorite flavor.

My friend really wanted ice cream and this place was nearby. In real Miami fashion we walked in to a DJ blaring some fun dance jams and were greeted by a prize wheel to spin for their free collab with Santo Dulce churros. I definitely had to try the churros/ice cream collaboration. It was everything.

I haven't been to Wynnwood in awhile so the wanderer in me wanted to visit and the fact that there was a Salt & Straw here just made the journey here even sweeter, literally. I got the Salty Donut Guava & Cheese and I loved it. Afterwards I walked around to see what has changed and stayed the same in Wynnwood over the years. The affirming signs on the sidewalk, still prevalent. The affirming murals are still everywhere. Coyo Taco still has a steady stream of business as well. Parking prices are very reasonable as well. If you want an affordable way to get out the house with a nice sweet treat definitely check out Salt & Straw!

Warm and friendly greeting immediately upon arrival! I love going places and feeling welcomed. Stopped in with friends, the associates were super helpful and informative, who shared excellent knowledge about the menu. I especially love the sample aspect and being able to try before you buy. I opted for their limited time flavors and was so impressed. I canβt wait to visit again. 10/10

I consider myself a bit of an ice cream snob, and Salt & Straw in Wynwood is operating on a completely different level than most other scoop shops in South Florida. The first thing you notice is the texture it is incredibly dense and has a high butterfat content, so it doesn't melt immediately in the Miami heat, which is a huge plus. We wanted to get a full sense of the menu, so we ordered a couple of flights to share. The range of flavor profiles is staggering. They balance savory and sweet better than anyone else. The Olive Oil flavor (Arbequina Olive Oil) was the surprise hit of the night itβs incredibly grassy and buttery, almost like eating frozen silk. The service deserves a mention too. Despite the chaos of a packed house, the team runs like a well-oiled machine. They are knowledgeable about allergens and eager to offer recommendations based on what you like. Itβs rare to find a "hype" spot that actually delivers on the culinary front, but Salt & Straw does. Highly recommended.
